Cylon was formed in 2002 and is focused on providing software solutions and services, which includes business analysis, implementation and ongoing maintenance in the areas of Strategic Sourcing (RFI, RFQ, RFP), Contract Lifecycle Management, and Catalogue based eProcurement. In addition to this Cylon is the VAR for Castek an Insurance Solution provider with solutions covering; Policy Administration, Claims Administration and Claims Procurement.
The solution suite provided by Cylon is centered on addressing specific business requirements and in particular to complement the existing investments organisations already have.
Cylon's founders Mike van Niekerk and Paul Briggs collectively have over 55 years of experience in the ICT industry. Through the years they have worked with JSE (Johannesburg Stock Exchange), Bank Serve, Mohawk Data Sciences, Siemens, Mobil (Engen), Unexcor, Platinum and CA (Computer Associates).
